In the Headline Newscast project I was able to practice being on camera, and reading stories that I created. In addition, I got to learn about good techniques on camera, and how to incorporate the 5 W's and H into my news briefs. In addition, I learned how to be in the right posture while on camera. I liked that I got to create my own news briefs, that I wrote, because it made it easier to read. After watching myself on camera I realized that I did some things well, and that there are a few things that I need to work on. Some of the things that I did well, was that I spoke clearly. In addition, I went at a very consistent pace throughout my delivery. A few of the things that I need to work on is first of all moving my head, and not being so stiff. Also, I have to be more consistent with my pauses, because I continued to speak as if I was done with my broadcast. The inconsistent long pauses threw some people off. Also, I looked very angry,on camera.I need be less tense on camera, and let my character come alive. In conclusion, I really enjoyed the project, and I think it was a good learning experience.
